Creativity as a Powerful Tool

Creativity is present in everyone’s life. By the time people grow up they get less creative too.  Being creative leads people to be success in any life aspect. When a person has creative thinking skills is able to imagine different ways for seeing the world.  According to Cooper (2014), “I always thought creativity was about coming up with original ideas, but it turns out creativity is really just about making new connections between existing ideas”. In other words, creativity means the brain’s ability to link different pieces of information that work together. Even though enhance creative abilities is difficult, people should add it as a way for solving problems. Because being a creative person is important for improving lives, there are three main areas where is useful to use creativity.

Business is the first area in which people can feel free thinking on creative ideas and solutions. The worldwide business has been a challenging but creative competition. Only the most innovated ideas survive to the public opinion which is the most relevant. Being an employee who thinks out of the box looking for solutions is what a modernized boss looks for. At work, creativity can be visualized as the way for presenting a company, making incredible presentations, and catching people’s attention. According to BrainCraft (2016), “Throughout history, we believed that creativity was rare and seen in a small elite: professional painters, poets, performers, and musicians”. However, the human imagination can be present in any business area. An example of creative business ideas is the reality television series called Shark Tank. In this television show, people present their creative and unique ideas to a panel of investors who choose the best option for investing large sums of money. Getting customers attention and getting financial support are able if people come up with original ideas.

 

Besides business, creativity also influenced education in different ways. In the teaching process can be used through different tools as technology. Interesting games and activities related to the content are effective for a better understanding. Teachers can take advantage of creativity changing from traditional to dynamic classes. They also should improve creative capacities on students. According to Robinson (2007), “All children are born artist, the problem is to remain an artist as we grow up”. Because todays kids will be the future professionals in the country, is important to keep and increase their creative abilities. In other words creativity should be not only a powerful tool but also a constant work. Tools, methodologies, and techniques are part of the ways where creativity can be used. 

 In addition to business and education, lifestyle is the third aspect in which people can take advantage of their imagination. Having different ideas can improve people’s lives. Including creativity influenced the way how people face their own problems. Unlike education and business, human beings can practice their creativity as a way for making their lives easier. For example, people can find out the best learning technique for themselves, change their home environment, take care a child, create new food recipes, and organize romantic details in a creative way. According to Improving Your Creative Abilities (n.d), “Fear of failure is the major impediment to generating solutions which are risky but would have a major impact if they are successful”. Change the doing of an specific action may makes you take risks but it should not be an excuse. People can apply imagination in their own life as a creative way for solving daily problems even if it includes taking risks.

In conclusion, being a creative person nowadays play an important role on specific areas. Business, education and lifestyle let people think creatively for their own benefit. Having a boring daily routine can take people to frustration, stress, and tedious life. In consequence, people who is not ingenious, efficient, and productive will have more difficulties for solving problems. Take advantage of what creativity can bring as a tool for daily life even though the risks.
